DAAD Scholarships are available for Master and PhD courses at selected institutions in: Malawi, Namibia, and South Africa.

Choose from a wide range of disciplines, including:

• Molecular Biology and Human Genetics (MBHG)
• Urban Studies – Southern Urbanism
• Development Studies at ISD
• Computer Science
• Aquaculture and Fisheries

Who can apply?

• Graduates and postgraduates from Sub-Saharan Africa with a first academic degree if applying for a Master program, or with a Master’s degree if applying for a PhD program.
• Female applicants and candidates from less privileged regions or groups are especially encouraged to participate in the program!

Your benefits:

Monthly individual scholarship payments, payment of tuition fees, research allowances, and options for a research stay abroad (subject to funding and a successful application).
