Das DAAD Informationspoint Addis Abeba ist die Vertretung des Deutschen Akademischen Austauschdienstes (DAAD) in Äthiopien und eines von über 57 Informationspoints weltweit.
Der DAAD Nairobi lädt ehemalige DAAD-Stipendiaten aus der Region Ostafrika, die kleine Alumni-Aktivitäten wie Workshops, Konferenzen oder Seminare im Zeitraum von Mitte April bis Oktober 2023 planen, ein, sich um eine Förderung zu bewerben.
Hochschulen in Deutschland und in der ganzen Welt pflegen ein internationales Netzwerk an Kontakten zu Partnereinrichtungen. Mit seinen Förderprogrammen lädt der DAAD die deutschen Hochschulen ein, diese Netzwerke weiter auszubauen.
Der DAAD betrachtet das Ende der Förderzeit als Beginn einer langjährigen Beziehung mit seinen Alumni. Wir haben uns dabei zum Ziel gesetzt, den Kontakt der Alumni untereinander und mit dem DAAD zu fördern, sei es durch die Unterstützung bei der Gründung von Alumni Clubs, sei es durch vielfältige Förderprogramme und Maßnahmen.

Falling Walls Lab is coming to Addis Ababa!
This coming Friday, 26 May 2023, at 2 pm EAT, at Goethe Institut Addis Ababa!
Falling Walls Lab is a world-class pitch competition, networking platform, and stepping stone that brings together a diverse group of students and early-career workers from different backgrounds and fields of study. It does this by giving both global and local new ideas a place to be seen and heard. The different forms help individuals drive their ideas and improve their communication skills.
On this day, twenty Ethiopians who have already been chosen will have 2:30 minutes each to share their ideas, which will then be reviewed by a panel of experts. The winner will go to the Falling Walls Lab Finale, which will be held in November in Berlin, Germany.

AFRIKA KOMMT! brings together the most visionary young leaders from Africa and leading German companies. At the heart of the one-year programme is an eight-month practical training in one of the participating companies, giving the African young professionals a great opportunity to gain first-hand experience in leading German Enterprises.

We are pleased to inform you that the University-Business-Partnerships programme within the framework of the BMZ’s special initiative “Training and Job Creation” has been advertised for the fifth time since 1 December (funding period 01.06.2023 – 31.12.2026).
We are pleased to inform you that the University-Business-Partnerships programme within the framework of the BMZ’s special initiative “Training and Job Creation” has been advertised for the fifth time since 1 December (funding period 01.06.2023 – 31.12.2026).
A new feature of this call for proposals is that projects are particularly eligible for funding if the contents and formats of their curricula/teaching modules are consistently oriented towards the concept of the “Green Economy” or if they contribute to the promotion of gender equality at the partner university and the empowerment of women in enterprises.
Within the framework of the special initiative as well as the G20 “Compact with Africa Initiative”, preference is given to relevant developing countries, taking into account country-specific clusters.
